SOL NEMESIA

Aether - Siren - EST
Plot 14 - 18th Ward - Lavender Beds

Howdy! You've stumbled across this mess of a page, welcome! I've been an on-and-off player of Final Fantasy XIV since 2016, saving Eorzea through the power of sobbing every time something minutely emotional happens.Started off as a female miqo'te player, swapped to male hrothgar when they came out, and then eventually fantasia'd into a femhroth after Dawntrail's launch. My most recent fanta was a lalafell, and despite not really being a fan of them, I've been LOVING her, so Lala-Sol may be here to stay!Always running around doing whatever suits my fancy, whether it's tedious gear grinds, hunting for mounts and unlocking new content, or following my dorky boyfriend, Tylius Nemesia, around while he does his own thing.

Sol's Fun Facts

• Sol is unsure where her bright yellow freckles came from. They began to develop in her mid teens, with nothing indicating what could've caused it. Her parents joke that it's the result of all the pollen that gets stuck to her face when harvesting flowers. Thankfully, no harm has come from them, only a unique look for her that she's come to love.• She's an avid tea drinker, particularly flavored black teas with cream and sugar. She enjoys making teas for others as a show of good faith and an extension of friendship.• Her and Tylius met in Tuliyollal, with Sol having spotted the foreign miqo'te looking lost and confused on her way to find passage to Eorzea. She introduced herself to the poor man and offered to show him around Tural as an impromptu guide. In exchange, he agreed to take her back to Eorzea and show her around in turn. Throughout the journey, they grew to be an inseparable pair with a deep love for one another, even if she purposely tries to get on his nerves.• Growing up, she was a member of Dustwatch, starting off her duties handling small, trivial police matters and organizational tasks as a younger teen. She was mentored by the town's founding sheriff, Kemakka, and grew up to be an official member of the force thanks to his training and guidance. This has given her not only a great shooting arm, but also a strong sense of morality and justice, especially after the betrayal of Wihuwte. She greatly admires Kemakka, and sees him as a close friend and ally, as well as a trusted mentor figure, and does her best to visit him often.

Basic Backstory

Solanezi "Sol" Nemesia was found on the doorstep of one of the locals of Hhusatahwi, a newborn wrapped in the ripped remains of a tattered ship's sail. Tucked safely within the cloth was a shakily penned note, written by a distraught mother who was incapable of caring for the child, as her pregnancy was an unplanned accident. Wanting to keep the child away from the father, and prevent her from having to live a poor life on Limsa's docks, she invested everything into ensuring the child would be raised somewhere where she could thrive. Sol was taken in and raised by a lovely hyur couple, who treated her no differently than they would their own flesh and blood, with the town more than happy to accept her as well. Despite her Eorzean origins as a lalafell, she was given a Shaaloanian name, though her surname is derived from her pale yellow eyes, rather than from her parents. Her childhood was a rather happy and ordinary one, growing up as quite the handful within her household, though she was more often than not found venturing out to forage for pretty flowers and plants. Often getting in trouble for her dangerously adventurous habits, she still found ways to slip away to explore and forage, becoming a skilled botanist throughout her teens.Eventually, she felt the need to explore beyond the reaches of her hometown, choosing to pack up her belongings and become a traveling botanist and adventurer-for-hire. Utilizing her growing knowledge of flora, as well as her skills wielding blades and guns alike, she begun a new life roaming the lands beyond Shaaloani, and, eventually, Tural itself.

Roleplay Info

• I've never done much roleplay within MMOs, beyond one or two awkward attempts at venues and within FCs. Please, be patient with me, as I may stumble, pause to think, or reply and act awkwardly. I am also a naturally shy, socially anxious, and introverted person, so I will inevitably struggle at some points in conversation.• WU/T's are fine if I'm using the RP tag, and if I am not, please /tell me to ask first! Social anxiety sucks and makes being suddenly approached very scary, even within a character roleplay setting, so always double-check!• No ERP! Sol is married and monogamous, and I am personally uncomfortable with that stuff outside of my own RL relationship. I can handle and dish back a teeny bit of flirting as a bit of joking banter, but keep it to a minimum if you can!•If you have any problems with my character being a lalafell in a relationship, please don't involve me. I am constantly infantilized in person, with people thinking I am 15, when I am a fully adult woman in my mid 20s, who just happens to be 4'11". I have received judgement against myself and my partner, with people thinking that he is with me for predatory and fetishist reasons. Because of this, I am tired of lalafells also being automatically labeled as children or child-like when they are fully autonomous adults and are capable of having normal relationships with other people. I know there are some people who enjoy them for the wrong reasons, but it's not the case for everyone. It's just not an argument I want to have with anyone, I just want to be left alone about it so I can enjoy my time with my partner.• More information will be added when I become more familiar with FFXIV's roleplay scene and develop preferences and opinions.

Player Introduction

Howdy! My name's Melody, AKA Mel, and I'm the player behind Sol! I'm an avid FFXIV player (been playing since 2016, as mentioned in my little introduction at the start of this carrd), and I am a general fan of MMORPGs as well! You'll also often find me playing games such as Warframe, Stardew Valley, Coral Island, Terraria, Space Station 14, Rimworld, etc etc etc. My gaming mood changes CONSTANTLY, so I'm a bit all over the place when it comes to what gaming media I'm hyper-fixating on at present.Alongside gaming, I'm also a big fan of photography and nature, and love to take photos of landscapes and close-ups of critters and plants with my phone. I'm also very spiritual and witchy, so I've got way too many rocks and candles, and have absolutely no room in my space for them, but that doesn't stop me from getting more! Nature has always been something I've really admired, and it's one of my favorite go-to options to just chill and wind down and get away from stressors.I've got a hell of a lot of animals, with a particular love for birds. My household has not only two dogs, but we've also got a parrot, ducks, chickens, pheasants, peafowl, turkeys, and we used to have geese and quail as well! I am an absolute SUCKER for birds, and love to identify them and their calls, and befriend them when I'm able to. We've even been thinking of getting some emus!I am indeed an artist as well, and all the art that I have on my carrd is my own! I'm not a very adventurous artist, so I mainly just draw my own characters, or my partner's characters (mainly our fursonas or our XIV characters). On occasion I am known to doodle characters from games that I enjoy greatly, or find comfort in, but majority of the time you'll just catch me doodling the same anthropomorphic husky over and over again because I default to my partner's characters when I don't know what else to draw... oof. While I've got hella anxiety and am a fairly introverted person, I'm happy to make new friends and find new communities in XIV! I've been hoping to attend more venues and interact with players in-character and out-of-character more, so if you see me around, don't be afraid to yank me away from my corner and say hello! I'll be sure to let you know if I don't want to be bothered, and I'll be nice about it! No reactionary biting from me, I swear!I'm only really somewhat active on BlueSky, so that is where you'll most likely find me outside of XIV!
